The Border Reivers Polo Club, situated in the Scottish Borders between Edinburgh and Newcastle, had their annual tournament on 3rd and 4th June 2006 all in aid of the Eloise and Katie Memorial Trust. It was a wonderful
weekend of sport for players and spectators alike, with teh Scottish sun shining shining throughout, and a lovely relaxed
atmosphere. The highlight was a fabulous sit-down lunch for 90 on Sunday, after which supporters cheered on the home team to beat Perth (the favourites) in a great final.
In addition to the sale of lunch tickets, funds were raised through a propotion of bar sales from the smart new pavilion, and from generous donations. It was a really perfect way of fundraising for the trust because Eloise was
a great supporter of the Ramsay family's equine pursuits, and would have loved the idea of Will founding the north's newest polo club just a couple of years ago.
Total funds raised for the trust from the tournament were £1,872.30. Many thanks are extended to Will and Natasha ramsay, and their Reivers support team, for masses of hard work in making it such a fun and successful weekend.
